musikmarkt.de: Europaweit führt in diesen Wochen kein Weg an U2 vorbei: Das aktuelle Album "How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb" hält sich seit drei Wochen an der Spitze der europäischen Longplay-Charts.

In England ist das Album ebenfalls drei Wochen an der Spitze der dortigen Charts und hat bislang 505.000 Einheiten verkauft. Weitere Länder mit U2 auf Platz eins sind Irland, Schweden, Portugal und die Schweiz. In Deutschland rangiert "How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb" auf Platz zwei, hat aber bereits Platinstatus. nme.com: U2 have shot the video for their forthcoming single ‘SOMETIMES YOU CAN’T MAKE IT ON YOUR OWN’ at a theatre where BONO’s late father once performed in DUBLIN.

The band filmed the track at the Gaiety Theatre with the help of director Phil Joanou, who also shot the ‘Rattle And Hum’ movie and the video for ‘If God Will Send His Angels’, according to the band’s website.

The song is dedicated to Bono’s late father Bob Hewson, who died after battling cancer over three years ago. [arrow more]
