soulshine.ca: On June 22 Toronto native Matt Dusk released his debut album "Two Shots" with Decca/Universal Music. The title track was written for Frank Sinatra as a birthday present by U2 frontman Bono. The original rat pack member Sinatra died before he had the chance to record the song. But Sinatra would be pleased by Dusk's rendition of the song. Dusk has four previous independent releases. [

bloomberg.com: Bono, the social activist and lead singer for Irish rock bank U2, is joining U.S.-based venture capital company Elevation Partners as a managing director, the Wall Street Journal reported.
The 44-year-old singer, whose real name is Paul Hewson, may play a central role if Elevation invests in the music industry, which has posted declining sales worldwide, the paper said. [
